Most agencies quietly mean days. Axis places across all three shifts — including the overnight window that is hardest to fill and costs the most when it is short.
Standard production and inbound. Highest volume, and the fastest shift for us to fill.
Second shift and the outbound push. This is where cover most often runs short.
Overnight production, replenishment and maintenance windows. Hardest to staff, and we do.
Not every floor runs on eight-hour blocks. We also staff custom and split schedules — shorter than eight hours or longer, weekends, rotating patterns — built around the position you are filling rather than a fixed timetable.

Who employs the workers you place?
For temporary and temp-to-perm placements, Axis is the employer of record. We run payroll, source deductions and WSIB coverage; you direct the work on the floor. Direct hires go straight onto your payroll.
How quickly can you fill a request?
It depends on the role, the shift and the volume. General labour and packaging fill fastest; licensed and supervisory roles take longer. We confirm a start date when we take the request, not after.
What happens if someone does not show up?
Call your Axis contact. We work from a pool already briefed on your site and shift pattern, so a replacement comes from people who can actually start, not from a cold list.
Can a temporary worker become permanent?
Yes. Temp-to-perm is one of the most common ways our clients hire. The worker proves the fit on your floor, then moves onto your payroll.
How do rates work?
Rates are quoted per role and shift after a short call about your operation. There is no charge to send a request or to talk it through.
